Cesare Prandelli: "(Balotelli) is a guy of 22 years of age, he is on the road to finding maturity. What I ask is for him to play simply. To help the team and to stretch the play behind the opposition defence. When he makes a mistake he must think that there will be other opportunities...and find the conviction to make the right decision next time. The thing to underline is that he won the ball himself (before missing a chance against Spain). When you have two choices it slows you down."(Yahoo)
Italy's key player: Daniele De Rossi. The 28-year-old was impeccable in denying the striker-less Spain opportunities in Gdansk, but once a true forward was on the pitch in Fernando Torres, the midfielder-turned-defender had a couple of lapses. He will need to be able to deal with the threat of a target man more completely on Thursday, whether it be Jelavic, Mandzukic or both.

Croatia's Player to Watch: Luka ModricThe Tottenham playmaker made Giovanni Trapattoni's side pay for giving him too much space on numerous occasions just a few days ago, but his ability to effect the game under more pressure from a five-man opposition midfield will be paramount to his country's success as they look to make it six point from six in Group C.

Italy vs Croatia Probable Line Up:
Italy: Buffon, Bonucci, De Rossi, Chiellini, Maggio, T. Motta, Pirlo, Marchisio, G'rini, Balotelli, Cassano
Croatia: Pletikosa, Srna, Corluka, Schildenfeld, Strinic, Rakitic, Vukojevic, Modric, Perisic, Jelavic, Mandzukic

Italy vs Croatia Euro 2012 Prediction
Croatia were given too much room in midfield against Ireland, and thus found it very easy to dictate play and come away with a straight-forward victory. The same thing is unlikely to occur against an improving Italy side despite their positive record against the Azzurri in the past and Prandelli's side should be able to come away with three points if they take their chances in Poznan.(Goal.com)

Cesare Prandelli: "Spain are very strong but we have beaten them and no team is invincible. I have a team with character, quality and willingness. They will probably have more possession and will cause us problems but when Italy play football as we know we can, we can fully challenge a team like Spain."

Spain's Player to Watch: Xavi Hernandez. Xavi is one of the best midfielder in the world. He is in same generation with Andrea Pirlo of Azzuri. The Barcelona star is considered one of football's playmaking masters, but he'll be facing a worthy foe in Andrea Pirlo on Sunday. The 32-year-old will aim to dictate the tempo of the match better than his opposition at the heart of the midfield if he succeeds then his side should be set for a victory.

Italy's Player to Watch: Giorgio Chiellini. Chiellini is Juventus centre-back. Although renowned for their defence, Italy showed plenty of defensive fragility during the recent 3-0 friendly loss to Russia. The return of the Juventus centre-back should add some much-needed stability to the defence, whether it be four men at the back or just three.

Spain vs Italy Probable Line Up:
Spain: Casillas Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Alba Xabi Alonso, Busquets Silva, Xavi, Iniesta Torres
Italy: Buffon Bonucci, De Rossi, Chiellini Maggio, T. Motta, Pirlo, Marchisio, B'retti Balotelli, Cassano
